Trump to visit U.S. to discuss HIV-positive patient, cancer treatment, opioid abuse, opioid overdoses
President Donald Trump will travel to the U.K. for a trip aimed at addressing HIV-AIDS and opioid abuse in a bid to promote his administration’s push to combat the pandemic.
Trump is scheduled to make a visit to London, U.KS., in early September, according to the White House.
The visit will coincide with the U-K.
opening of a new $500 million National Health Service (NHS) drug and alcohol treatment and treatment centre, a White House official said, adding that the president plans to speak to patients and staff at the centre and highlight efforts to prevent opioid addiction and overdoses.
In a tweet, Trump said he was looking forward to meeting with the patients, staff and the community.
